Location & How to get there
Address:
Krumdal 1 (corner of Strandweg 67), 22587 Hamburg
Arriving by car
From April to September, on weekends and public holidays, you need a special permit to drive to Strandweg by car. I can obtain this for you, but I will need a copy of the front of your unfolded vehicle registration certificate at least 4 weeks before your arrival.
For navigation systems and taxi drivers who are not familiar with the area: Strandweg 67
A7, exit Othmarschen or Bahrenfeld (if Othmarschen is closed)
Arrival by train
Long-distance train to the main station or, if possible, Altona
S-Bahn Line 1 towards Blankenese/Wedel. Runs every 10 minutes during the day; on weekends (Friday + Saturday), the S1 runs continuously at night every 20 minutes. Get off at Blankenese.
Continue by taxi (5 minutes, approx. €8.00) or by Bergziege (Bus Line 488 towards Blankenese, runs in a circle, every 10 minutes from 9 a.m. Monday to Saturday, from 12 noon on Sundays and public holidays, otherwise every 20 minutes). Get off at Krumdal.
Parking
You can stop briefly to load and unload directly on Strandweg/corner of Krumdal.
Finding a parking space is difficult all year round. With a bit of luck, you may find one on Strandweg, otherwise on the nearby Falkensteiner Ufer and Falkentaler Weg.
The underground car park on Süllberg currently costs €24.00 per day.
